When viewing the cube after solving the Yellow Top Face, some of the yellow corner pieces can be placed into their correct spots (all colors corresponding to the center pieces) by twisting the top face once or more. Try to place any two yellow corners into their right spot and do the following algorithm.

Welcome to Learn to Rubix .com!
This site was initially made for a younger friend of mine that wanted to learn how to solve the Rubik's Cube. However, I could only meet with her once a week so it was hard for her to remember what she learned and the steps she needed to take. Therefore, this site was created to help her and many others to solve the Rubik's Cube.
1.
Create a WHITE cross
Shaded Colors in the figure above do not matter
If you already know how to create the white cross, you have the hardest part that requires the most intuition of the Rubik's cube solved! Great Job.
To begin you will need to understand the turns of the Rubik's cube to follow the manual/"algorithims".
*Other solutions show an inverse turn on each side. However, it can get confusing remembering the difference between a regular turn and the inverse turn therefore we have created an easier set of letters to represent each turn when solving the Rubik's cube. *
RU - RIGHT Face UP turn
RD - RIGHT Face DOWN turn
LU - LEFT Face UP turn
LD - LEFT Face DOWN turn

BR - BACK Face RIGHT turn
BL - BACK Face LEFT turn

DR - DOWN Face RIGHT turn
DL - DOWN Face LEFT turn

FR - FRONT Face RIGHT turn
FL - FRONT Face LEFT turn

UR - UP Face RIGHT turn
UL - UP Face LEFT turn

Creating the Yellow Cross (Top Layer)

Two (technically four) scenarios

.
AFTER SOLVING THE MIDDLE LAYER - IF YOU HAVE THE YELLOW CROSS ALREADY MADE - MOVE ON TO THE NEXT STEP.
-
.
IF YOU SEE THESE PATTERNS:
FR , UL , RU , UR , RD , FL

.
IF YOU SEE THIS PATTERN:
FR , RU , UL , RD , UR , FL
Repeat and/or adjust accordingly
until you have the YELLOW cross!
Figure out your own tricks along the way!
5.
Finishing the Top Layer
Three Scenarios
IF THE TOP LAYER (yellow side) HAS NO YELLOW CORNER PIECES SHOWING ON TOP LIKE THE PICTURE ON THE LEFT, PLACE A LEFT CORNER PIECE ON THE LEFT FACE AS SHOWN.

*IN THE CASE OF THE PICTURE ON THE LEFT, YOU WOULD BE VIEWING THE CUBE WITH THE GREEN CENTER FACE IN FRONT*
IF THE TOP LAYER HAS ONE YELLOW CORNER PIECE, PLACE THE TOP LAYER AS SHOWN AND DO THE FOLLOWING ALGORITHM.
IF THE TOP LAYER HAS MULTIPLE YELLOW CORNER PIECES , MATCH A YELLOW LEFT CORNER PIECE IN THE FRONT FACE AS THE PICTURE SHOWN.
RU , UL , RD , UL , RU , UL , UL , RD
Doing the Algorithm once does not necessarily mean you will achieve the Yellow Top. After a sequence if you recognize another scenario, adjust the cube accordingly and repeat the algorthim. After 1-3 times of doing the alorithm above. You will acquire the Yellow top!

Switching YELLOW Edge Pieces into Correct Positions
&
Completing the Rubik's Cube
Two Scenarios
4 incorrect edge pieces
-
.
In this stage -when no edge pieces are in their correct positions- pick any side and do the algorithm. The color of the incorrect edge piece determines which algorithm you choose. If the edge piece is the same color as the right side of the cube ( if viewing this the right side would be red and thus, the edge piece and the side would be the same) you must do the UR Algorithm. If the color of the edge piece is on the left side do the other algorithm, vice versa. After completing the sequence of the algorithm you will go to the next scenario!
3 incorrect edge pieces
2. .
In this stage, 3 edge pieces are in the wrong positions. The side with the correct edge piece would be placed in the back. ( In this example, the blue side would be in the back and you should be facing the green side ) Because the green side has a red edge piece you will do the UL algorithm and take the edge piece to the left side which is red.
